Guest performances
Through a year-round programme at Španski Borci and the recently launched NaKnap Festival, En–Knap brings bold, exciting and must-see voices of contemporary dance in different media from around the world to local audiences. Guest performances expand the repertoire and situate local creation within a wider international context. Since 2009, En–Knap has hosted more than 150 invited guest performances, by names including Rosas, Trisha Brown Dance Company, Steve Paxton, DV8 and Wim Vandekeybus, among others.
As a long-standing partner of the Aerowaves network, En–Knap presents works by young and emerging European choreographers. It brings together guest performances selected through the network under Plesna Vesna, a unique year-round festival format. At the Španski Borci Cultural Centre, En–Knap presents the latest in young European dance, offering audiences an insight into new choreographic voices and the most current developments in European dance scene. To date, almost 100 works by artists selected through the Aerowaves network have been presented as part of Plesna Vesna.
