Hannes Langolf is an independent artist, choreographer, director and educator working across stage and screen. His work includes numerous original productions and collaborations with artists and companies such as DV8 Physical Theatre, William Forsythe, Akram Khan, Wayne McGregor, Angelin Preljocaj, Punchdrunk and Fabulous Beast. He began his long-standing collaboration with DV8 in 2007, performing in several acclaimed productions before becoming the company’s Creative Associate in 2014. He was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Choreography for Dear England (2024). In 2022, he founded Moonwalking Bear Productions, a home for his creative work and a platform supporting innovation, collaboration and emerging talent.
A first kiss is never entirely simple: it weaves together anticipation and uncertainty, desire and nervousness. The film captures this tension and transforms it into choreography, where every step, jump, and turn counts down the seconds to the meeting of lips.
