2009

10 MIN brings together the dancers of En–Knap Group and eleven artists from the international contemporary performing arts scene. The title refers to the task that Iztok Kovač set for each invited author: to create a personal reflection on the nature of time in a performance lasting exactly ten minutes. At its core, 10 MIN explores the fluid and elusive nature of time through diverse artistic perspectives shaped by different geographical, social and cultural contexts. These distinct choreographic voices are brought together through original music by Mitja Vrhovnik Smrekar, lighting design by Jaka Šimenc, video projections by Neja L. Rošker and Luka Umek, and costumes by Alan Hranitelj and Valter Kobal. The project was originally presented in two parts: 10 MIN EAST, featuring choreographic vignettes by Snježana Abramović Milković, Matjaž Berger, Edward Clug, Matjaž Farič, László Hudi and Iztok Kovač (premiered in November 2009), and 10 MIN SOUTH, featuring works by Dalija Aćin Thelander, Ivica Buljan, Jordi Casanovas, Olga Pona and David Zambrano (premiered in November 2010).
