Festivals that cross the boundaries between stage, film, and virtual reality explore precisely this intersection of body, movement, and medium. On such platforms, artists test how choreography adapts to and develops within cinematic and immersive forms. Experimentation, innovation, and the search for new ways of interacting with audiences become key points of departure, where stage, film, or VR are not merely channels but tools through which dance comes alive as an experience the viewer feels in every movement, space, and moment.

Ágota Harmati works as a curator at the intersection of dance, film, and digital arts. She is the artistic director of the Moovy dance film festival in Cologne, which, in addition to dance films, also offers a professional presentation platform for immersive dance productions such as virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. Born in Hungary, she studied curating, art history, and Romance philology in Madrid, Cologne, and Berlin, including at the University of the Arts.

Dr. Stojan Pelko holds a master’s degree in philosophy and a doctorate in sociology, with experience in audiovisual research at Sorbonne Nouvelle 3 in Paris. A former editor-in-chief of Ekran (the Slovenian film and television journal) and lecturer in the sociology of cinema at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, he moved into advertising (creative director at Luna agency, awarded for the Delo newspaper campaign in 1998) and later specialized in strategic communications and political marketing, further developing this expertise with the founding of the company Korpus in 2000. He was a close collaborator in the development of En-Knap’s Oder360 brand, providing strong theoretical support. In 2025, the public institute GO! 2025 appointed him as Programme Director of the European Capital of Culture.
