Sofia Mavragani (Greece) is a choreographer and co-founder of the artists’ network Fingersix. She graduated from ArtEZ (Arnhem) and the Athens University of Economics and Business. Her works, such as Glorious Epic (2024), Chorus (2023), and Speechless (2018), have been presented at festivals and venues worldwide, including the Athens–Epidaurus Festival, Documenta 14, FIBA Buenos Aires, and within the Aerowaves network (2019). She also develops projects in improvisation and composition that bring together artists from different disciplines and take place across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Oceania.
This co-production project, developed by two partners within the Moving Balkans network, brings together five dancers from En–Knap Group and five dancers selected by the Contemporary Dance Association Slovenia. For this occasion, choreographer Sofia Mavragani has been invited to reimagine her epic choreographic work for an expanded ensemble of ten dancers. Through the VR360 experience, the audience enters the fluid choreographic landscape from within, encountering the work’s shifting relations of distance, exposure, and collectivity firsthand.
