Tamás Tuza is a dancer and choreographer with a flair for contemporary dance – and the occasional dad joke. His journey began in 2005 at the Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy. In 2010, he joined the En–Knap Group in Ljubljana, where he had dazzled audiences with his gravity-defying moves until 2016. After a brief hiatus (or maybe just a long lunch), he rejoined the group in 2019, and choreographed his full-length dance piece Cogito (2021). Besides dancing, he moonlighted as a movement consultant and choreographer at Slovensko ljudsko gledališče Celje. His passion for teaching has led him to share his wisdom in workshops and dance classes across Slovenia, most notably at the Alma Mater Europaea Dance Academy. While his moves are sharp, his sense of humor is just as nimble. From Romeo and Juliet (movement consultant) to crafting innovative choreography for secretive artistic projects (the less said, the better), his eclectic work keeps audiences on their toes – literally.
How do we perceive the thinking mind? What is it to discover our "thinking" and our "doubts"? There are six very different characters inhabiting the same space under the box of their Ego. Can one thought affect the other? What do they have in common? During our lives we are confronted by many stages of personhood, from the school boy to the lover, the soldier, the judge, the jester, and finally old age. In all of this, we remain the same person, however, through time our thoughts and opinions change. It’s a whole process, becoming our true selves. The question is who is doing this thinking? Who or what is this entity that produces these thoughts, these opinions, and these doubts?
