Carolina Alessandra Valentini (1992, Italy) began her dance journey at the age of 11, when she performed at the Venice Biennale in a choreography by Sarah Michelson. In 2015, she graduated in Dance and Performing Arts from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. During her studies, she performed in various productions, including choreographies by Nacho Duato, Samir Calixto, and Club Guy & Roni, and trained with renowned teachers and choreographers. She later joined the international Dansteather dance company, performing at most major Dutch theatres and international dance festivals in works by Neel Verdoorn, Vasco Wellenkamp and Jan Linkens. Choreographer Liat Waysbort played an important role in her professional career, giving her the opportunity to collaborate on Titanic, which toured across the Netherlands. In 2016, she began a fruitful collaboration with Compagnia Arearea (Italy), where she worked in productions by artistic directors Marta Bevilacqua and Roberto Cocconi. She is also a dedicated yoga practitioner and certified teacher. Passionate about music and art history, she obtained a licence as a tour guide.
