Who do we love, and why? How much are we willing to change for love—and how much do we try to change others? Every relationship is a space of negotiation, testing, and quiet compromise between desire and loyalty, between the wish for freedom and the need for closeness. Since Plato, we have been haunted by a similar image: split beings yearning for their lost half, for the elusive whole. This constant tension between seeking the perfect body and accepting its imperfection drives movement, shifts the body, and creates new forms of community. In this short duet, two dancers intertwine into a larger body that breathes from the desire for union.
