Rebeka

Andreja Rauch

The performance speaks about a woman`s character, initiated from a novel by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Hundred Years of Solitude. The portray of Rebeka is exposed through situations in different scenes, setting and relationships between the performers and their mediums: dance, music and text.

During the performance, these three mediums are interwine, they complement, sometimes avoid each other. Mutual reconciliation and shifting away of the three media points to, sometimes dictates, different relationships or solitude which work on the phenomenon of Rebeka, from her banal version to an almost mythical appearance of a woman.
